This package includes fixes for HMC Version 7 Release 7.7.0. You can reference this package by APAR# MB03678. This image can be installed on top of HMC Version 7 Release 7.7.0 Recovery installation (MH01343), with or without additional PTFs installed.

This package provides the following and enhancements and new function:

• Added support for Power 750 Express (8408-E8D) and Power 760 (9109-RMD).
• Added RAID1 support to the lshmc command output.

This package provides the following fixes:

General fixes

• Fixed Issue with Create System Plan not generating the processor pool information for a profile if the profile is uncapped.
• Fixed an issue with non-hscroot user activating VIOS lpar failing with "Error Rendering Task Panel".
• Fixed a problem where Power Dumps initiated from the HMC were not offloaded to the HMC.
• Fixed virtual adapter window interface issues.
• Allowed numeric filtering on device size in shared memory pool properties.
• Removed incorrect error message "Minimum size cannot be greater than Max size" when device max size filter is disabled.
• Made pedbg improvements.
• Improved input validation to QoS field.
• Fixed a problem where changing paging service partition on shared memory pool fails to list all candidate PSPs.
• Fixed an issue preventing modification of the user id of an LDAP user.
• Fixed an issue with modifying HMC user properties with an active password policy.
• Fixed an issue with installing multiple VIOS partitions simultaneously resulting in error "HSCLB70E Invalid disk or no disk in drive.".
• Fixed an issue where the VSI profile in virtual switch association was not cleared after the partition is suspended.
• Disabled importing of VIOS images from an FTP Server to the HMC.

• Fixed an issue with migrating a hibernated remote restartable partition.
• Fixed an issue with DLPAR processor move operation for shared processor partitions failing with error "HSCL2927:Dynamic move of processing resources failed".
• Fixed an issue with the WWPNS property was not getting  set for client adapaters.
• Made load source visible when creating an IBM i logical partition via GUI.
• Fixed an issue with Japanese keyboard mapping.
• Fixed an issue with lpar memory properties reporting an incorrect message of desired memory value when the message should be about maximum memory value.
• Fixed possible RMC/LparCmdRM crash if number of lpars exceeds 1024 and returning error HSCL2970.
• Fixed an issue in the sysplan viewer where the Shared Processor Pool info was not displayed for an 'Uncapped' partition.
• Fixed an issue with running paging space device query in AMS producing error E3550046.
• Fixed an issue with the truncating the data output for the lsipsec command.
• Fixed an issue with Primary PSP selection reverting to "None" when creating a shared memory pool.

Repair and Verify

• Fixed an issue with Prepare for Hot Repair/Upgrade utilityfor GX Adapters to disable the Next button.
• Made improvements to the DASD Backplane and IO Backplane RV Exchange procedures for 780 systems.

Notes:

1. To burn the ISO image to media, you must use DVD-R media
2. The HMC Install Corrective Service task has been modified to allow corrective service installation by using the .iso packaging of the corrective service files that you can download from IBM. There is no requirement to burn CD-R or DVD-R media to use these files to install the corrective service.
   • To install the updates over the network, select the .iso file in the Select Service Package panel of the Install Corrective Service utility.
   • To use USB flash media to install updates, copy the .iso file to the flash media, and then select the file when prompted.
3. The updhmc command line command has also been modified to use the .iso file for installing corrective service updates. To use the command, follow the syntax in this example:
   updhmc -t s -h <myservername> -f </home/updates/corrrective_service.iso> -u <HMC_username> -i

In all cases, the HMC application extracts the files needed to install the corrective service.
