If the LPAR is subsequently migrated to a new CEC (new MTMS), then the key info is incorrect and invalidates the stored credentials This fix detects the condition and new LPAR credentials are obtained with the new MTMS of the CEC to which the LPAR was migrated. * Removed unused code in the path of fetching new credentials for the HMC or its managed systems that caused an uncaught exception if the HMC's DNS server list was empty. * Removed the iqyybkup.log collection from call home data to prevent an issue where virtual retain files could potentially fill up the / root filesystem. * Fixed an issue with the HMC transmission of hardware inventory: The inventory is sent successfully but the ESA web site does not update the "CEC (Hwr)" record. Instead a new record is created for a "partition" of 0. * Added a pop-up warning that there are partitions running when a CEC power-off is attempted. * Added support for LDAP users in nested realms. * Fixed a problem where clicking on the link of a reference code for a POWER 5 server may return message ACT04292 "There is no additional descriptive text available." * Fixed a problem where an HMC ldap defined user fails to login when using Kerberos authentication. Repair and Verify fixes for 570, 575 and 595 servers * Fixed a problem to prevent the error message "specified resource was unable to be located" when the Voltage Regulator Module replacement launches. * Fixed a problem where only one type of I/O drawer is listed in the drop-down menu of the Add FRU panel for Power 595 CEC frames. * Fixed a problem that caused the AMD and several other power FRUs to take the non-concurrent path during a repair on a Power 595. * Included new procedures for the System Backplane exchange on a Power 595 to prevent damage to the PU Books during the unplug or plug process. * Fixed java errors that caused the AutoBusy window to hang during the PCI card exchange on a Power 570. * Fixed a problem on System p5 595 where exchange FRU on secondary FSP fails with HSCL0278. To burn the ISO image to media, you must use DVD-R media 2. The HMC Install Corrective Service task has been modified to allow corrective service installation by using the .iso packaging of the corrective service files that you can download from IBM. There is no requirement to burn CD-R or DVD-R media to use these files to install the corrective service. * To install the updates over the network, select the .iso file in the Select Service Package panel of the Install Corrective Service utility. * To use USB flash media to install updates, copy the .iso file to the flash media, and then select the file when prompted. 3. The updhmc command line command has also been modified to use the .iso file for installing corrective service updates. To use the command, follow the syntax in this example: updhmc -t s -h -f -u -i In all cases, the HMC application extracts the files needed to install the corrective service. Back to top
