Repair and Verify fixes for IBM Power System 570, 575 and 595 (POWER6 technology) This package includes the following fixes: * Fixed the DCA exchange R&V procedure to power down the 5803/5873/7045/5791/5797 I/O drawer and not the entire system. * Updated Repair and Verify procedures for POWER6 570 servers to correct an exception that points to com.ibm.hwmca.xfw.service.eclipz.panel.RvRadioBean. * Fixed a problem with 5798 drawers in expansion frames that prevented service of locations Pn-C1 through Pn-C9. * Fixed a problem with Frame R&V network validation to fail with SRC 14012A01 when a good path is still available. * Fixed a problem with 5803 drawers that prevented the AMD LED from being lit. * Fixed a problem where R&V actions would result in an "HTML Viewer Error". * Fixed a problem with the Exchange fan procedure on model 9117-MMA. The HMC Install Corrective Service task has been modified to allow corrective service installation by using the .iso packaging of the corrective service files that you can download from IBM. There is no requirement to burn CD-R or DVD-r media in order to use these files to install the corrective service. * To install the updates over the network, select the .iso file in the Select Service Package panel of the Install Corrective Service utility. * To use USB flash media to install updates, copy the .iso file to the flash media, and then select the file when prompted. 2. The updhmc command line command has also been modified to use the .iso file for installing corrective service updates. To use the command, follow the syntax in this example: updhmc -t s -h -f -u -i 3. If you do burn the image to media, this ISO images requires DVD-R media In all cases, the HMC application extracts the files needed to install the corrective service. Back to top
