 Fix for HMC Version 7 Release 3.4.0 Service Pack 1.


Description

This package includes fixes for HMC Version 7 Release 3.4.0 Service Pack 1.  You can reference this package by APAR# MB03010. MH01163 is required for this fix.

Fixes:

This package includes the following enhancements and fixes:

* Fixed an HSCLA335 error that occurs when you attempt to recover from a remote migration that fails in such a way that the destination HMC completes the migration task - and in the process leaves the migrating partition on both the source and destination HMCs. The message text is:
"HSCLA335 The Hardware Management Console (HMC) for the source managed system does not support one or more capabilities required by the HMC managing the destination managed system. The missing required capability codes are as follows: hmc_compatibilty" 
* Fix to allow Version 7 Release 3.4.0 Service Pack 1 to perform cross-HMC migration to future version and fix levels of the HMC. Without this fix, the HMC would encounter an HSCLA335 error. 
* Fixed a problem with the "backup critical console data" task that made the backup larger than necessary due to erroneous HMC RPMs' being backed up.
