    1.1    This document describes, generally, how to use the MegaCLI Utility 
           for Storage Management.  MegaCLI is a command line utility that 
           runs in the Linux environment.

           - The mptbase.o, mptsas.o and mptctl.o modules must be loaded into 
             the kernel before MegaCLI will function correctly.

2.0  Installation and setup instructions
________________________________________

    Installation
    ------------
    To install the utility, unzip the archive.  

    1) unzip the MegaCli package .
    2) To install the Lib_Utils RPM, run the command "rpm -ivh <Lib_Utils-1.xx-xx.noarch.rpm>"
    3) To install the MegaCli RPM, run the comand "rpm -ivh <MegaCli-x.xx-x.noarch.rpm>"
    4) To upgrade the MegaCli RPM, run the comand "rpm -Uvh <MegaCli-x.xx-x.noarch.rpm>"


    Uninstallation
    --------------
    rpm -e <Lib_Utils-1.xx-xx>
    rpm -e <MegaCli-x.xx-x.noarch.rpm>

______________________
		
    Detailed usage information can be found in the ServeRAID M Series or MR 
    Series Software User's Guide.
    
    Usage information can also be obtained by running the utility with 
    standard information switch:
      './MegaCLI -h'


4.0  Unattended Mode
____________________

    This utility can be used in a scripted, unattended mode.  See the 
    documentation in the ServeRAID M Series or MR Series Software User's Guide 
    for more information.
